Jay Hoffman is a senior executive with more than 30 years of progressive and accomplished health system executive level experience. He operates JH Enterprises, a business transition company, which provides healthcare transitional financial management services and advice to various organizations through independent contractor arrangements. As its Managing Principal, Mr. Hoffman’s initiatives and endeavors include serving as CFO to a variety of organizations in need of business transition / turnaround or significant operational improvement.
His breadth of hospital/health system CFO experience include tertiary care academic teaching hospitals, investor owned endeavors (hospitals and physicians), community teaching hospitals, home health agencies and sub-acute care organizations.
Over the past 30 years, Mr. Hoffman has demonstrated proficiency with board and executive level strategic financial planning, hospital and physician practice consolidations and mergers, managed care strategy and contract negotiations, board relations, decision support management and cost analysis, accounts receivable/treasury management, debt financing strategies, budgeting and third party reimbursement, physician practice management, capital planning and investment strategy, related organization business development and financial operations.
Mr. Hoffman earned his Bachelor of Science degree from The Pennsylvania State University and earned his Master of Business Administration Degree in Health Care Administration from LaSalle University, Philadelphia. He is a C.P.A, a Fellow in the Healthcare Financial Management Association, and a member of the American Institute for CPAs. He has participated in a number of speaking engagements on a variety of healthcare matters concerning the plight of difficult financial issues facing the healthcare industry.
